Headquartered in Toronto and founded in 2012, Grantbook, a proud and daring B Corp, got its start by helping funders adopt cloud-based technology, a critical step towards frictionless philanthropy. Having experienced the challenges faced by grantees firsthand, our founders recognized early the critical role of effective operations: fewer resources wasted on administrative wrangling equals more time for worldchanging.

In its first decade Grantbook chased a BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) of “Improving the flow of $100B in capital to drive catalytic social change”. This ambitious vision guided our efforts to help funders transition to more efficient, effective, and empathetic grantmaking systems and models.

The upheaval and momentum provoked by the COVID-19 chapter became a call to action for both philanthropy and Grantbook to accelerate change. The disruption of power dynamics and the centring on Changemaker Experience shaped our renewed vision and mission—one that is championed by our team of spirited consultants: to uplift changemakers around the world by helping funders operationalize transformational grantmaking.
